Do I need to be a member to stay at the Lodge?

No, but you will be required to pay non-member rates. If you wish you may join the Otago Ski Club at the Lodge.

Do I need to bring my own food?

During the week and non-catered weekends you will need to bring your own food. On catered weekends you will get Saturday and Sunday breakfast. During organised Club weeks eg. Junior Ski Weeks you will be catered for at a reasonable cost.
During the week the club supplies basics like tea, coffee, salt, pepper and milk for tea and coffee.

Do we have duties while staying at the Lodge?

Yes, the Caretaker/Manager will roster everybody for duties especially during the weekends. Always check the duty roster when you sign in on arrival.

Do you supply bedding?

No, you will need to bring a sleeping bag and a pillow slip.

Do I need to book in?

Yes, for weekday bookings, please telephone or email the Caretaker/Manager to ensure there are beds available. For weekend bookings, please call no later than Wednesday evening.

Are children welcome to stay?

Yes, children are the future of the club and are always welcome.

Is the Lodge locked?

Yes, there is an internal key pad lock and you will need to get the code from the Caretaker/Manager before you arrive.

How do I find the Otago Ski Club Lodge?

Drive up the Coronet Peak Road and as you approach the Ski Area you turn right into Car Park 5 The Lodge is 70 metres along that road on the right side.

Is there Parking at the Lodge?

No, you cannot Park near the Lodge in the Winter. You must park your vehicle in the designated Park near the Vincent Lodge.

Can I unload at the Lodge?

No, do not drive off the main road. Please unload on the road above the Lodge then park your vehicle.

How far is the Lodge from the ski area base building?

It is an easy 8-10 minute walk. A good warm up before skiing!

Is there anything organised by the club for children during the school holidays?

Yes, the club runs organised Junior Ski Weeks. Information can be obtained by contacting the Caretaker/Manager.

Do school groups stay at the lodge?

Yes, school groups need to book in advance. There are always beds kept available for club members.
